The local "Press" just stinks

Last June, it came out that Teresa Trower, a self-described transsexual, had filed for a Republican committee woman position in Christian County. I wrote about it HERE. If another individual, a woman, had also filed for the position, there would have been an election. However, Trower ran unopposed for the Union Chapel 1B committee woman position, and eventually was simply seated without an election. Trower's name never appeared on the August 4, 2026 ballot because the position had only one candidate. You won't find Union Chapel 1B on the official election summary report, because it did not appear on the ballot.

Much of the controversy came from the Christian County Republican Central Committee's lack of action, which had at least ten days to find a woman to run against Trower. When the deadline to file had passed, rules state the person who has filed and been credentialed (Trower was credentialed by the central committee in May of 2026) is duly seated.

The Springfield Daily Citizen in an article published today, Sept. 18, 2026, gets it wrong. The headline reads "Group condemns Republican Party after trans committee woman wins election in Christian County." I don't fully blame reporter Zoe McIntyre for the factual error, since she most likely did not write the headline. However, she is the author of the text that repeats the untruth. Trower was never elected, but seated. That the SDC is either ignorant of how things work, or is allowing the lie to go forth in order to influence readers, is up for grabs.

While Trower is fervent in asserting a strong Christian faith, it must be noted that God created Trower a biological male. By asserting otherwise, and going through surgeries and other transgender procedures, Trower is denying that God-given reality, attempting to change what God hath done, and usurping a committee woman position that was intended for a female. Since precincts in the Christian County Republican Central Committee reserves both one male and one female committee position, the Union Chapel 1B precinct currently has two biological males and zero biological females representing Republicans. A new birth certificate and driver's license do not make one a female. And Trower admits that, but nevertheless is willing to use the law to gain a committee woman position as a Republican (whatever 'Republican' means nowadays).

While current state law is delving into the realm of fantasy (that surgeries and "legal" paperwork can make a male into a female) Trower's passport says Trower is a male. And Trower readily admits to being born a biological male, a state of reality that cannot be changed through drugs, surgery, makeup or clothing. I imagine that at some point, a court will take up for biological women and stop the nonsense. In the meantime, the Republicans are ineffective in Christian County, to say the least.
