The American Library Association has defined freedom of thought and expression below:
From: Facebook |
Let's parse that definition:
According to the ALA, intellectual freedom includes:
A) The right of EVERY individual to
1. Seek and
2. Receive information
3. From ALL POINTS OF VIEW
4. WITHOUT RESTRICTION
Does EVERY individual have the RIGHT to seek and receive information from all points of view without restriction?
No.
Children--minors--do not have the right to seek out pornography, obscene materials, sexually explicit information or age-inappropriate materials.
The ALA is a morally bankrupt organizations that seek to defile and demoralize children, usurp parental rights, and overturn existing democratic institutions. They should have no standing within our libraries, either in the public schools or the public libraries. The ALA and its publisher comrades act as a pipeline for indoctrinating children, both through books and digital apps. Journalist and author Jennifer Bilek speaks:
If we cannot respond as a society to children’s castration being used as entertainment fodder, how can we effectively act to protect ourselves from anything?
