Sifting the Christians

From: Broken Believers

 "The characteristic of the modern State is that those who appear to govern do not in fact govern. They are constrained by forces which they do not name, which they rarely understand, and which they cannot openly oppose. The result is that public men become timid. They avoid plain speech. They fear exposure more than injustice, and loss of position more than loss of honor. In such a condition courage disappears first, and freedom follows it." -- Hilaire Belloc

 By Gretchen Garrity

Pro-life Christians and Christian politicians, still reeling from the 2024 vote to enshrine abortion in the Missouri Constitution, are now being confronted with the issue of how to undo it.

How did it come about that Roe v. Wade was overturned on June 24, 2022 but abortion in Missouri was voted in on Nov. 5, 2024? In 2022, Missouri had immediately acted on the overturning of Roe v. Wade by means of a trigger ban, which effectively outlawed abortion except to save the life of the mother.

Less than 24 months later, a well-organized and well-funded campaign to allow for the legal murder of pre-born persons was conducted and passed in Amendment 3. The pro-life response was to provide a new and improved Amendment 3 added to the November 2026 ballot. The ballot language is as follows:

Shall the Missouri Constitution be amended to:

  • Repeal the 2024 voter-approved Amendment providing reproductive healthcare rights, including abortion through fetal viability;
  • Allow abortions for rape and incest (under twelve-weeks’ gestation), emergencies, and fetal anomalies;
  • Allow legislation regulating abortion;
  • Ensure parental consent for minors’ abortions;
  • Prohibit gender transition procedures for minors?
State governmental entities estimate no costs or savings. Greene County estimates it may experience an unknown increase in tax revenue. Other local governmental entities estimate no costs or savings."

The ballot language purports to make clear exactly what your Yes or No vote would mean. Let's examine it more closely.

The language is couched in such terms that a Yes vote seems to bring more restrictions on abortion. But does it accomplish the end of abortion? Does it really restrict abortion?

Issue No. 1: Does the new and improved Amendment 3 curtail or restrict in any way chemically-induced abortions, which comprise about 63% of abortions nationally?

The simple answer is NO, chemical abortions wherein the mother takes an abortion pill and aborts her baby at home, is not addressed in the new Amendment 3. At this time there is no legislation in Missouri that regulates this type of abortion, and under reporting of these abortions is common.

Issue No. 2: How is rape of minors construed for the purposes of abortion in the new Amendment 3?

Because a minor (anyone under 18) cannot legally consent to sexual relations, all babies conceived by minors can be considered the result of rape and thereby aborted.

Issue No. 3: "Ensures parental consent for minors' abortions" is an addition designed to fool voters. According to an article in the Missouri Independent, "Missouri’s parental consent law requires a minor attempting to access abortion receive at least one parent’s consent. The other parent must also be notified. If that’s not possible, they can also ask a judge to bypass the requirement." Read the article to see how deeply invested some groups are in ensuring your teen can get an abortion without your consent.

That clause is added to convince voters that the "improved" Amendment 3 is adding something new. It is not. Amendment 3 ensures nothing for parental consent that was not already in Missouri law.

Issue No. 4: What is meant by "emergencies" in the ballot language?

According to the actual proposed language of Art. 1, Section 36(a), which will replace Section 36.1 of the Missouri Constitution should Amendment 3 be approved, a medical emergency is "a condition that, based on reasonable medical judgment, so complicates the medical condition of a pregnant woman as to necessitate the immediate termination of her pregnancy to avert the death of the pregnant woman or for which a delay will create a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman. A medical emergency shall include, but not be limited to, an ectopic pregnancy at any point following the diagnosis of such and treatment for a miscarriage;"

First, ectopic pregnancies do not end in abortion because such pregnancies are not viable.  According to The Heritage Foundation, "Treating an ectopic pregnancy is different from having an abortion. Abortion is an intentional, unnatural procedure that kills the baby in the womb. An ectopic procedure, in contrast, attempts to save the life of both mother and unborn child. A number of  treatment options are available, but each seeks to separate the embryo from the fallopian tubes."

The treatment is not considered an abortion, so why was this included in the language of Amendment 3? If you want to get down to brass tacks, this kind of language is a form of witchcraft, because it seeks to manipulate the citizen to believe and vote a certain way.

Would a medical emergency be considered a woman who is depressed or suicidal? Would a gallbladder attack be considered a major bodily function that was impaired? One can see there will be no end to the medical emergencies upon which an abortion doctor can have "reasonable medical judgment."

Additionally, the term "under twelve weeks' gestation" is included only for instances of rape and incest. Abortion for "emergencies" and "fetal anomalies" is not restricted to a gestational range. It is stated in the fair ballot language but that has no binding legal effect. So again, witchcraft is employed with misleading information in the fair ballot language that is not in the actual wording of the ballot or the amendment.

There's more. Is an examination legally required to determine the age of the pre-born baby? According to Missouri law, Missouri Revised Statutes § 188.030.2(1), yes "Except in the case of a medical emergency." There's that term again. Medical emergency. One can imagine the abortion industry will find many such emergencies if Amendment 3 is passed.

Issue No. 5: Are there guardrails in the new Amendment 3 for determining a rape occurred? No. There are no provisions in the proposed Amendment 3 or any current Missouri statutes. There is NO requirement to provide proof of rape. There does not need to be a police report, a physical examination or any other threshold in order to procure an abortion. A woman can simply assert that a rape happened and procure an abortion.

Are you beginning to see how voters are manipulated?

 Issue No. 6: Abortions will be publicly funded. Though not noted in the ballot wording, when looking at the actual amendment language you will find: "No public funds shall be expended for the purpose of performing, inducing, or otherwise assisting any abortion, except in cases of medical emergency, rape, or incest, as otherwise authorized by law." So, yes pro-life taxpayer, you will be paying for abortions if Amendment 3 passes. Medical emergencies, rapes, incest and 'otherwise authorized by law' will "necessarily skyrocket" (to quote a former President) when the abortion industry is involved.

Issue No. 7: Amendment 3 tacked on the following clause, "Prohibit gender transition procedures for minors." Currently, Missouri has banned "gender transition surgeries, cross-sex hormones and other gender-affirming care for minors." The ban is due to expire in 2027. A good question to ask legislators who allow for temporary laws, is WHY? What political advantage is there by voting for temporary laws regarding children's health and welfare? And WHY tack on vague, lawyerly wording onto Amendment 3? Again, it's there to fool voters and lull them into a sense that some good is being done when it is not.

Are you feeling the chaos and confusion yet?

Sen. Mike Moon aptly describes the dilemma. He says, "Whether your decision to vote ‘yes’ or ‘no’ likely depends upon how much you trust in government.  How often have you seen the government enact a law (or, the people amend the constitution) and return to make additional changes after the law was passed (or, amendment adopted)?

I imagine the same action or inaction will occur with Amendment 3 (2026).  In my short 13-year experience in the MO General Assembly, I have witnessed a strong reluctance to re-visit the ‘hard’ topics in back-to-back sessions.  Although, we’ve been told that when Amendment 3 (2026) passes, “we’ll come back and make the necessary changes” (to remove the exceptions for rape, incest, and fetal anomalies).

The reality (again, my opinion) is that many of the ‘promise makers’ will be long gone from the legislature after the 2026 session, so they will have no ‘dog in the hunt’."

Do read and subscribe to Sen. Moon's Report. He goes into detail about the sausage-making that happens in Jefferson City, and how a permanent solution to outlawing abortion in Missouri has been stopped by the likes of President Pro Tem Cindy O'Laughlin, who is aptly satirized HERE.

The Moral Implications for Christians

Legislators and presumed pro-life organizations who are pushing for a yes vote on Amendment 3 argue that some babies will be saved by the new A3. Is it true? Based on just the few arguments presented above, it is hard to imagine justifying the murder of many small persons in the hopes that a few may be saved.

Is the language and intent of Amendment 3 justified in scripture? Paul addresses this issue in Romans.

"And why not say (as some people slander us by saying that we say), ‘Let us do evil so that good may come’?" (Rom. 3:8).

The JB Phillips translation explains this concept more fully:

"It is like saying that if my lying throws into sharp relief the truth of God and, so to speak, enhances his reputation, then why should he repay me by judging me a sinner? Similarly, why not do evil that good may be, by contrast all the more conspicuous and valuable?...But, of course, such an argument is quite properly condemned."

The foundational Scripture that prohibits murder is Ex. 20:13, "Thou shalt not kill." There is no room for exceptions to murder. Jesus reiterated this commandment in the Gospel of Matthew, "...but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments...Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness..." (Matt. 19:17-19)

Nowhere in Scripture is it permissible to do evil that good may come. Nowhere is it suggested that Christians should compromise with or promote some murders so that other murders may possibly be averted. This type of mixture was condemned by Christ in Revelation when He confronted the compromising church at Pergamos. The Christians there had begun compromising with the pagan culture. They were apparently mixing Christian and pagan practices, and worse, some were teaching other Christians to do so also.

Amendment 3 is a compromise with evil through the concept of Incrementalism. It is not a valid argument in terms of obedience to God's command to 'do no murder'. It can be implied in other things, such as implementing a plan to reduce taxes, or the phasing of a building plan. It is not valid to compromise on clear moral instruction from Scripture.

Satan greatly desires to "sift" Christians, to shake them loose from the foundation of Christ. A local pastor I know has said, "In matters of truth there is no compromise."

For a Christian to vote yes to murder certain unborn persons is a type of satanic compromise. It promises that by doing evil, good may come. Christians are accountable to God for their votes. Scripture is clear, murder is not permissible.

The Solution

The pro-life movement has been deeply subverted by those who compromise with the pagan concept of child murder. Organizations like Missouri Right to Life are content to allow the sacrifice of children while hiding under the cover of incrementalism. Instead of supporting personhood and equal protection bills that would effectively make abortion a crime, they now fight tooth and nail to prevent the criminalization of murder through abortion. Murder is a crime no matter who commits it or how small the victim.

It is time for our legislators to SUPPORT, HEAR, and PASS a personhood or equal protection bill in Missouri. This would essentially stop abortion. Our leaders must be willing to lead and govern as they were elected to do.

That politicians like House Majority Leader Jon Patterson and President Pro Tem Cindy O'Laughlin continue to obstruct the bills put forth to abolish abortion is a disgusting stain on the now infamous GOP Super Majority in Missouri. Compromised GOP legislators continue to put forth and support amendments like A3, indicating a captured party that is at the mercy of "forces which they cannot openly oppose." They are willing victims of witchcraft--the manipulation of their minds and souls--in order to accomplish evil.

Below are bills currently introduced in the Missouri Legislature, as well as the language of A3 that will be added to our state constitution should A3 pass. It must be noted that any of the bills below would have dramatic effect on ending abortion in Missouri.

SJR 72 Filed by Senator Mike Moon

Equal Protection Bills:

FULL TEXT OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT

If Amendment 3 is passed, the following language will replace Section 36.1:

Section 36(a).

1. The state's duty to protect public health and welfare includes protecting the integrity and ethics of the medical profession. The state's interest in regulating the practice of medicine is even greater in areas of medical and scientific uncertainty or in areas that raise grave moral and ethical concerns, including abortion and gender transition procedures.

2. An abortion may be performed or induced upon a woman in cases of medical emergency, fetal anomaly, rape, or incest. In the case of abortions performed or induced in cases of rape or incest, the abortion may be performed or induced no later than twelve weeks gestational age of the unborn child.

3. The general assembly may enact laws that regulate the provision of abortions, abortion facilities, and abortion providers to ensure the health and safety of the pregnant mother. These laws shall include, but not be limited to, laws requiring physicians providing abortion care to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital; laws requiring facilities where abortions are performed or induced to be licensed and inspected for clean and safe conditions and adequate instruments to treat any emergencies arising from an abortion procedure; laws requiring physicians to perform a sufficient examination of the woman to determine the unborn child's gestational age and any preexisting medical conditions that may influence the procedure; and laws requiring ultrasounds to be performed only by physicians or licensed medical technicians.

4. No abortion shall be performed or induced upon a woman based on a prenatal diagnosis, test, or screening indicating a disability in an unborn child, except in cases of a fetal anomaly.

5. No public funds shall be expended for the purpose of performing, inducing, or otherwise assisting any abortion, except in cases of medical emergency, rape, or incest, as otherwise authorized by law.

6. Except in cases of a medical emergency in which consent cannot be obtained, no abortion shall be performed or induced upon a woman without her voluntary and informed consent, given freely and without coercion. In the case of a minor under the age of eighteen years who is not emancipated, no person shall knowingly perform or induce an abortion, except in cases of a medical emergency in which consent cannot be obtained, unless the attending physician has obtained:

(1) the written consent of the minor and a parent or legal guardian; and

(2) documentation of the consent is retained in the minor's medical record. Licensed medical physicians shall be required to provide women with medically accurate information. The general assembly may enact laws to provide for the right of a minor to consent to an abortion as granted by a court order.

7. Fetal organ harvesting after an abortion is not permitted under any circumstances.

8. A woman's ability to access health care in cases of miscarriages, ectopic pregnancies, and other medical emergencies shall not be infringed by the state.

9. No gender transition surgeries shall be knowingly performed on children under eighteen years of age, and no cross-sex hormones or puberty-blocking drugs shall be knowingly prescribed or administered for the purpose of gender transition to children under eighteen years of age. The provisions of this section shall not apply to the use of such surgeries, drugs, or hormones to treat children born with a medically verifiable disorder of sex development or to treat any infection, injury, disease, or disorder unrelated to the purpose of a gender transition.

10. Any action challenging the validity of any state law relating to reproductive health care shall be brought in the Circuit Court of Cole County, Missouri. If a pleading, written motion, or other paper drawing into question the constitutionality of a state statute does not include the state, one of its agencies, or one of its officers or employees in an official capacity, the party bringing the action shall file a notice of constitutional question and serve it on the attorney general and the attorney general shall have the right to intervene in the litigation.

11. The general assembly shall have the authority to enact laws to carry out the provisions of this section.

12. As used in this section, the following terms mean:

(1) "Cross-sex hormones", testosterone, estrogen, or other androgens given to an individual in amounts that are greater or more potent than would normally occur naturally in a healthy individual of the same age and sex;

(2) "Fetal anomaly", a structural or functional abnormality in the unborn child's gestational development that would make life outside the womb impossible;

(3) "Fetal organ harvesting", collection of fetal tissue, organs, or fluids, including any biological material, for the purpose of selling or collecting for scientific purposes, but shall not include the utilization of fetal tissue, organs, or fluids to determine the cause or causes of any anomaly, illness, death, or genetic condition of the unborn child, the paternity of the unborn child, or for law enforcement purposes;

(4) "Gender transition surgery", a surgical procedure performed for the purpose of assisting an individual with identifying with and living as a gender different from his or her biological sex;

(5) "Medical emergency", a condition that, based on reasonable medical judgment, so complicates the medical condition of a pregnant woman as to necessitate the immediate termination of her pregnancy to avert the death of the pregnant woman or for which a delay will create a serious risk of substantial and irreversible physical impairment of a major bodily function of the pregnant woman. A medical emergency shall include, but not be limited to, an ectopic pregnancy at any point following the diagnosis of such and treatment for a miscarriage;

(6) "Puberty-blocking drugs", gonadotropin-releasing hormone analogues or other synthetic drugs used to stop luteinizing hormone secretion and follicle stimulating hormone secretion, synthetic antiandrogen drugs to block the androgen receptor, or any other drug used to delay or suppress pubertal development in children for the purpose of assisting an individual with a gender transition;

(7) "Reasonable medical judgment", a medical judgment that would be made by a reasonably prudent physician, knowledgeable about the case and the treatment possibilities with respect to the medical conditions involved.

13. All provisions of this section are severable. If any provision of this section is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or unconstitutionally enacted, the remaining provisions of this section shall be and remain valid.

Some Babies Are More Equal Than Others

Equipment prepared for a surgical abortion procedure.
From: OG Magazine

 By Gretchen Garrity

The recent unpleasantness concerning a satire authored by David Rice (see HERE and Rice's satire HERE) has made me think further about the implications of the knee-jerk support for the enemies of pre-born babies, among whom it must be counted state senators Adam Schnelting and Rick Brattin, as well as their respective chiefs of staff Sherry Kuttenkuler Arthaud and Tom Estes (a pastor).

Let us be clear what the stakes are here. Surgical abortion entails wrenching open a womb and cutting up a pre-born baby as it struggles to avoid the scissors. The mutilated baby is then sucked into a bucket.

Chemical abortion causes a pre-born baby to be expelled from the womb, most often ending up in a toilet--to be flushed away to the sewer as so much shit. Imagine the horror that a young woman sees as her tiny child is expelled into the toilet. The pictures are out there on the internet if anyone cares to see. The reality of abortion becomes a true-life nightmare almost beyond belief. The ones shown are tame in comparison.

Many times more than one life is destroyed. The emotional repercussions echo throughout a woman's life, affecting not only her own mental health, but affecting her future relationships with her spouse and children.

I dare you to tell me that David Rice's depiction of the spiritual sin of supporting Amendment 3 is worse (which allows for the abortion of children based upon the circumstances of their conception or their physical condition).

 Do you really want to know how the sausage is made in Jefferson City? Do citizens believe they have actual representation there? I regret to inform you that your representation is controlled and directed by a very small group of people. They select and place the party leaders who will enact their agenda.

Any representatives who oppose them are shunned, opposed and sidelined. Bills are heard or not heard based on how your representative adheres to the directives of their leadership. A good bill, a proper bill, is often amended in ways that pervert the original intent. Representatives and senators are forced to play by the system's rules in order to get even a smidgen of a proper law passed.

Citizens think they are electing representatives to represent their interests and values. But that system is long gone. Representatives and senators are reduced to supplicant beggars, hoping against hope to have their constituents' voices heard.

It is far past "taxation without representation." The elephant in the room is this: How has a Republican Super Majority managed to do almost nothing of substance in two decades for Missourians? Elected representatives outlawed abortion in Missouri only to have it ENSHRINED IN THE MISSOURI CONSTITUTION in the next election cycle. And you think elections are free and fair in Missouri.

Are taxes lower? Are schools improved? Are unborn babies safer? Are God-given rights being protected? Are your utilities lower? Is your food safer?

What exactly has a "Republican" super majority accomplished? Say it. NOTHING.

But let us get back to unborn babies.

The outrage over Rice's depiction of the sin of supporting abortion through Amendment 3 has  overshadowed the reality of abortion. Think about it. Lisa Pannett and her friends Cyndia Haggard and  Melissa Thomas and Gary Ridenhour (and others) are MORE OUTRAGED OVER RICE'S SATIRE than the reality of abortion.

From: Catholic Business Journal

 In fact, Pannett noted on her Facebook page, "I will also add I know these people portrayed in this article. They are not sexual deviants or looking to cut up babies. It’s sad we can’t disagree on policy without blatantly lying about people’s character. Know I will stand up for people that even hate my guts."

I beg to differ, Lisa. The people you are standing up for are supporting an amendment that allows for the dismemberment of babies up to 12 weeks (well after a heartbeat can be detected). This is not just policy. This is the intentional murder of children based upon the circumstances of their conception and their possible physical condition.

You must face up to the fact that the people you know are advocating for the cutting up of babies. It is not simply policy, Lisa. It is the lives of children. David Rice was not lying about their character. He was exposing their politics. In fact, I would say that your spirit was not so affected by the heinous description in his satire, but by the foundational truth he exposed.

These individuals are going about convincing citizens to vote yes on Amendment 3 in November. They are compounding their sin. It is disgusting that you and Cyndia Haggard and Melissa Thomas and Bill Eigel and Gary Ridenhour and others are so deeply deluded you protect the supporters of abortion. God have mercy on your delicate souls.

"For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ." -- Gal. 1:10

Tell me, ladies and gents, is it true that our elected officials are being pressured to repudiate David Rice? In Sen. Mike Moon's latest Capitol Report, he stated:

"In the article, I was presented in a good light.  Nonetheless, I derive no satisfaction in the depiction of those with whom I vehemently disagree.  I would much rather witness the defense of their position in a public debate.  I understand invitations to support their beliefs have been extended.  I also understand there has been no acceptance of these invitations – not one.

Why not?"

While Sen. Moon is the ultimate gentleman, as befits his status as a state senator, I also ask the question, 'Why has there not been acceptance of invitations to support the beliefs' of individuals like Sen. Schnelting or Sen. Brattin?'

We know why. There is no defense of their position. Psalm 139 speaks to God's knowledge of Man. Beginning in Verses 13-14, "For You formed my inward parts; you covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made..."

But the Psalm continues in verses 19-20, "Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God! Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men, For they speak against You wickedly; Your enemies take Your name in vain."

To accede in any way, shape or form to the murder of pre-born babies is to place oneself in the category of a bloodthirsty man. I hope and pray that Pannett, Haggard, Thomas, Ridenhour and anyone else who has decried a political satire over the support of abortion publicly repudiate the position of those who support Amendment 3.

In the end, silence is consent.

It has to be Rep. Justin Sparks

If you want to know why you must support Rep. Justin Sparks in his bid to become the next Missouri House Speaker, here's one of the reasons why:

Jon Patterson, a completely fake Republican, thinks he has the position in the bag. Let's disabuse him of that notion. Amendment 3 was the turning point. Patterson won't oppose it. Amendment 3 allows abortion up to the moment of birth, and will allow for transgender surgeries and no accountability for botched abortions or trans surgeries. Amendment 3 must go down in flames in order to protect babies, as well as youth who are in danger of mutilating surgeries.

 The Shield Maidens have been deep into this issue. Read:

The Prayer of Hezekiah and Amendment 3

 By Gretchen Garrity

A Missouri amendment on November's ballot, Amendment 3, is an extreme attempt to enshrine abortion up to birth in our Missouri Constitution. The amendment's language is also couched so that "reproductive rights" may include irreversible transgender surgeries, as well as immunity from repercussions resulting from botched abortions, and "transition" surgeries. It is worded so that parental rights are in danger, and the creation and destruction of millions of embryos is justified. It is hard to see how this amendment could be any more radical or extreme.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/64/Ashur_god.jpg
Ashur, Assyrian "Father of the gods."

In the book of 2 Kings, Chapters 18-19, it is related how God delivered Jerusalem from the Assyrian King Sennacherib and his army. At that time, Hezekiah was king in Judah.

King Hezekiah was one of the few kings in Judah who did what was right in the Lord's eyes. Not only did he destroy the high places (places of idol worship), but he repaired the Temple, re-instituted the biblical feasts, reformed the priesthood, and fortified Jerusalem.

At one point, in order to keep peace, Hezekiah began paying tribute to the nation of Assyria, which had become very strong and warlike. Eventually, King Sennacherib was emboldened enough to come against Jerusalem. As he surrounded the city, he sent messengers to the people of Jerusalem, boasting of his military prowess and urging the citizens to surrender.

"Do not let Hezekiah deceive you, for he shall not be able to deliver you from his hand; nor let Hezekiah make you trust in the LORD, saying, "The LORD will surely deliver us; this city shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. Do not listen to Hezekiah; for thus says the king of Assyria: 'Make peace with me by a present and come out to me...that you may live and not die...Has any of the gods of the nations at all delivered its land from the hand of the king of Assyria...Who among all the gods of the lands have delivered their countries from my hand, that the LORD should deliver Jerusalem from my hand?"

When Hezekiah heard of the terrible blasphemy and affront to God he went to the temple and sent messengers to enquire of Isaiah the prophet.

"Thus says Hezekiah: "This day is a day of trouble, and rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to the birth, but there is not strength to bring them forth...Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left."

King Hezekiah understood the situation he and his people were in. The northern kingdom, Israel, had been destroyed, and Judah alone was left--the remnant. The reference to children coming to birth expressed the deep danger Jerusalem was in--as a child ready to be born but the exhausted mother has no strength left to deliver the baby, thus both may die.

FIGHTING AMENDMENT 3

The temptation for the pro-life movement and citizens is to be exhausted by the relentless attack on our children, born and unborn. The victory of overturning Roe V. Wade, and the outlawing of abortion in Missouri is in grave danger. It seems as if Missouri is on the verge of full-scale war on the innocents. Amendment 3 is the Assyrian king seeking to demoralize the citizens and get them to surrender.

Back to Isaiah. The prophet told Hezekiah's messengers, "Thus says the LORD: "Do not be afraid of the words which you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed Me. Surely I will send a spirit upon him, and he shall hear a rumor and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land."

When Sennacherib hears that the citizens of Jerusalem refused to surrender to Assyria, he next sends a letter to Hezekiah. In it he boasts of all his military conquests. He again insults God saying, "Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you, saying "Jerusalem shall not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria. Look! You have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the lands by utterly destroying them..."

Hezekiah responds by taking the letter and going up to the house of God. He spreads the letter before the LORD and prays. Ending a beautiful and heartfelt prayer, Hezekiah says, "Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD God, You alone."

Hezekiah, who had overthrown idol worship in Judah, understood that the attack upon Jerusalem and its citizens was ultimately an attack on the LORD. It was an attempt to dethrone Judah's God and install the Assyrian gods, of which there were about 20 major deities of that nation.

Missourians are facing the same thing with Amendment 3. The abortion and transgender cults are built on a hatred of life and of the natural law. Their ruling spirits are akin to the cults of the ancient world, though now they incorporate technological aspects and act as if murder is a human right.

From: JSTOR.org

 Hezekiah again hears from Isaiah. "Thus says the LORD God of Israel: "Because you have prayed to Me against Sennacherib king of Assyria, I have heard." What follows is God's assurance not only that Jerusalem will be saved, but that the remnant in Judah will prosper. About the king of Assyria, the LORD says, "He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor build a seige mound against it. By the way he came, by the same shall he return; and he shall not come into this city, says the LORD. For I will defend this city, to save it for My own sake and for My servant David's sake."

Soon after, Scripture confirms Sennacherib's defeat. An angel of the LORD entered the camp of the Assyrians one night and killed 185,000 soldiers. Sennacherib beat a retreat, and a few years thereafter was killed while worshiping in the temple of his false god. He was killed by his own sons.

AMENDMENT 3 IS THE LETTER OF SENNACHERIB

The proposed constitutional amendment, Amendment 3, is the "letter" that Christians must lay before God as we reach out to Him in prayer. The abominations that are being proposed in Amendment 3 are an affront to the LORD. They seek to destroy His creation, desecrate His laws, defeat His preeminence as the One living God.

Amendment 3

 Amendment 3 seeks to worship at the altar of mammon. According to a Federalist article: "Both the abortion and reproductive technologies industries are multibillion-dollar businesses, profiting from the creation and elimination of millions of human beings. Contrary to what many think, in-vitro fertilization (IVF) is not simply about creating new life; it often involves sacrificing millions of little lives so adults can attempt to have the exact babies they want when they want them."

According to journalist Jennifer Bilek, "What we’re witnessing in the gender industry is a castration cult. Castration cults have been seen throughout history and we are experiencing another one. What I am going to call transsexual transhumanism is a castration cult amped up on technology, transhumanist ideology, and fueled by profit. It has been introduced to the culture by forcing and controlling new language that obscures its origins in fetish and the sexual objectification of women."

 Most Americans decry abortion up to the point of birth. Most Americans disagree that minor children have the right to make irrevocable decisions about their reproductive faculties. Most Americans know the transgender movement is an attack on humanity.

Opposing Amendment 3 is an issue that Missourians of all denominations and political parties can unite on. Let us go up to the house of the LORD and lay it before Him.

"Now therefore, O LORD our God, I pray, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that You are the LORD God, You alone."

A Technocracy to Destroy Your Children

Amendment 3 will create a Constitutional Technocracy to Destroy Your Children by David Rice

If Amendment 3 passes, your unborn and born children will become grist for the technocratic cult of billionaires to enrich themselves as they work to castrate and cannibalize your children.

"It’s hard to imagine that what we’re witnessing is an organized technological, religious cult with eugenicist underpinnings. The single most important contribution to Hilter being able to continue his holocaust against the Jews in Nazi Germany, is that people could not, would not, allow themselves to believe it was happening. It was too terrifying." from Jennifer Bilek.

If Amendment 3 passes on November 6th, it will essentially turn Christians, Parents, and other Faith Groups into outlaws in Missouri. If we, or you, oppose or stand in the way of a child’s “reproductive freedom” to transition to another sex or if we oppose a child being aborted at any stage of development, we will be criminalized for violating their constitutional right.

Amendment 3 is a Lie (Vote No)

Amendment 3 is a smokescreen for the implementation of the transgender agenda on Missouri’s children and could threaten parental rights.

• Amendment 3 would repeal the SAFE ACT passed in 2023. According to the Liberty Counsel’s Statement of Leaders Opposing Missouri’s So-Called “Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative,” states “While the text cleverly focuses on pregnancy and abortion, the creation of a broad right toreproductive health care” expanded with the “but not limited to” text enables an interpretation thatreproductive health care” includes the right of a person to modify, eliminate or change their reproductive system. Moreover, since the language does not specifically protect the parent-child relationship, the left will continue to argue that the state must counsel, enable, and facilitate children to surgically, hormonally, or otherwise irreversibly mutilate themselves, against parental consent, under the guise of reproductive health and so-called “gender-affirming care.”

• Amendment 3 could repeal the Missouri Save Women’s Sports Act. According to Section 6, “The Government shall not discriminate against persons providing or obtaining reproductive health care or assisting another person in doing so.” According to the Liberty Counsel, “This so-called “anti-discrimination” provision could be applied to allow biological males “obtaining reproductive health care” a legal right to demand access to girls’ and women’s activities and spaces.

• Amendment 3 could give the state the authority to remove children from parents who object to their children receiving “gender-affirming” surgeries and/or medical treatment. According to the Liberty Counsel, Section 6 could create “A state-sponsored “right” that can be used by bureaucrats to mislead and kidnap children to irreversibly mutilate and forcibly sterilize their reproductive systems against parental consent.”

Amendment 3 Attack on Unborn Children and Women’s Health

• Section 2 would repeal Missouri State Statute 188.026, Missouri Stands for the Unborn Act, “Missouri Heartbeat Law,” and allow full-term and partial-birth abortion up to the moment of birth.

• Section 4 would allow abortions for physical or mental health reasons for all nine months.

• Section 5 would eliminate abortions that are required to be conducted by licensed physicians. This would allow unlicensed “Medical” professionals to perform an abortion in an unlicensed medical facility.

Amendment 3 Attack on Parental Rights and Taxpayers

• Section 3 would eliminate parental consent of minors from receiving an abortion. “Any denial, interference, delay, or restriction of the right to reproductive freedom shall be presumed invalid.”

• Section 3 would repeal HB 2634 and force taxpayers to fund abortions; HB 2634 was sponsored by Representative Cody Smith and passed in the 2024 legislative session. HB 2634 Section 188.207 states, “It shall be unlawful for any public funds to be expended to any abortion facility or any affiliate of such abortion facility.”

Pietism Definition from Defy Tyrants website.

“Now Pietism – which teaches that Christianity should be a purely private matter and that God’s law has no place in the governance of nations – always tells us that we are wasting our time when it comes to being involved in seeing that good laws are established in our nation. They mock it as mere ‘moralizing.’ They say we should just be involved in trying to save men’s souls – we should just preach the gospel. But what Pietism fails to understand is that good law – that which mirrors the law and justice of God – helps men see where they are wrong, where they have sinned against God, where they do need to repent.”

“Ask yourself this: Why did MRL endorse Jay Ashcroft for Governor approximately a year ago BEFORE the race for Governor even heated up when he has NEVER taken ANY vote for the LIFE issue? He does not have a proven record. He has nothing for voters to see. So, how does MRL know how Ashcroft will vote when pressed when he has never taken a vote unlike Senator Bill Eigel who has 8 full years of votes that are on record? Mike Kehoe has a full slate of documented votes from when he was a sitting senator for the life issue that are less than impressive. Kehoe’s position on abortion is weak, unlike Eigel’s based on live debates we have watched for 8 years and all of the votes he has taken.”

What are the Churches doing?

Sadly, in my research, not enough details were provided. The Missouri Baptist Convention and the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Catholic Diocese provided the most details. Yet, many churches are worried that they will lose members if they preach this from the pulpit or lectern.

Can they afford to lose members in a climate of scarce money? Many pastors, priests, elders, and deacons are asking the wrong question.

In a culture that is turning against children and moving openly and gleefully toward child sacrifice, can they stay silent and not fear the judgment of God?
