COMPLETE VICTORY!!!! SUMMARY JUDGMENT GRANTED! ALL claims brought by the Roxbury librarian against Roxbury moms Christina Balestriere and Kristen Cobo dismissed! "This was all protected expression of opinion," More to come!@CoboKristen@ChristinaMB122https://t.co/qDY253ivIM
"Roxbury, NJ parents, Kristen Cobo and Christina Balestriere stood up
when the Roxbury school library began promoting sexually explicit books
to children.
After becoming aware of a multitude of sexually
explicit, vulgar books available to minor children in their public
school district, these parents followed the appropriate steps to address
their concerns. After speaking with the librarian and district
administration proved to be ineffective, these mothers began speaking at
Roxbury Board of Education meetings regarding their concerns; providing
evidence as to why these books are inappropriate and pose a risk to the
safety of minors.
In response to the concerns raised by these parents, the school librarian doubled down and promoted these books, tweeting from the Roxbury Media’s page about “banned books week”, encouraging students to read these books.
When Kristen and Christina continued to speak up at school board meetings to exercise their First Amendment Right to petition to government at a public forum, the school librarian sued. The librarian's husband is an attorney, so she is not paying legal fees. This frivolous lawsuit is a transparent attempt
to silence parents who stand up to question whether books with graphic
sexual content should be promoted for reading by children."
Some very good news out of Florida. The United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida Tallahassee Division, has ruled in Peter Parnell, et al., v. School Board of Escambia County, Florida that schools have the right to include or exclude whatever books they deem appropriate. Local control at last!
The lawsuit revolved around the removal of the book "And Tango Makes Three," which tells the story of two same-sex penguins who raised an egg. Parnell is the gay author of the children's book. According to Wikipedia, "The book does not take a stance on same-sex marriage, but rather the validity of same-sex families."
Notice how 'clever' that statement is--it doesn't take a stance on same-sex marriage per se, but does take a stance on the "validity of same-sex families."
According to the Final Order, which liberally quotes the recent court decision regarding Little v. Llano County (reported HERE), "After a hearing on several motions to dismiss, the court dismissed all claims against the Florida Education Commissioner and members of the Florida Board of Education for lack of subject-matter jurisdiction. ECF No. 151. It dismissed individual-capacity claims against the Escambia County Superintendent for the same reason. Id. It dismissed claims against the Lake County Superintendent in her individual capacity based on qualified immunity, and it dismissed official-capacity claims against her and the Escambia County Superintendent as duplicative of claims against the respective School Boards. Id. It dismissed claims against the Lake County School Board on the merits, based on Monell v. Department of Social Services, 436 U.S. 658 (1978). Id. Finally, it dismissed for lack of standing Plaintiffs’ claims challenging the constitutionality of a Florida statute Plaintiffs contended caused their harm. Id. That left the Escambia County School Board as the sole Defendant, and it left only Plaintiffs’ First Amendment claims regarding Tango’s removal. Count One alleges that removing Tango violated the authors’ First Amendment speech rights by discriminating based on content and viewpoint. ECF No. 61. Count Two alleges that the removal violated B.G.’s First Amendment right to receive information. Id.This order resolves those claims."
Please note that so far, every single claim the plaintiffs brought were dismissed. That bogus ALA claim that someone has the "right to receive information" by forcing librarians, schools and library boards to carry specific books, is about to be gutted. Read on.
While the Court held that the student, B.G., had standing on Count Two, the Court eventually ruled, "The board’s lead argument is that school library curation does not implicate any students’ or authors’ First Amendment rights at all. Thus, the argument continues, even if the board removed a book based on its viewpoint, the removal would not be unlawful. I agree, and that is enough to resolve this case. I conclude, as the en banc Fifth Circuit recently did, that a public library’s removal of books does not implicate the First Amendment right to receive information. Little v. Llano County, 138 F.4th 834, 850 (5th Cir.) (en banc), cert. pending, No. 25-284 (2025). Nor does it implicate any author’s First Amendment rights."
Note how the Florida Court refers to Little v. Llano County, which has a cert pending to the Supreme Court. The Court said in part, "In that case, a plurality held “that a public library’s collection decisions are government speech.” Id. at 865 (plurality). It did so after examining numerous precedents..."
Further, it stated, "In the end, the Little plurality concluded 'a public library’s collection decisions are government speech.' Id. at 865. It did so based on 'precedents teaching that a speaker, including a government speaker, engages in expressive activity by selecting and presenting a curated collection of third-party speech,' its conclusion (quoted above) that a library collection does not constitute a public forum, and its consideration of the Shurtleff factors, 'which show that libraries’ collection decisions have traditionally expressed libraries’ own views about what constitutes worthwhile literature.'” Id.6
In its 18-page decision, the Court referenced the case ofUnited States v. American Library Association, Inc.,which "examined" the role of libraries in our nation. "It recognized that public libraries 'pursue the worthy missions of facilitating learning and cultural enrichment,' that they 'must have broad discretion to decide what material to provide to their patrons,' and that they 'collect only those materials deemed to have "requisite and appropriate quality." Id. at 203-04 (cleaned up). In other words, curating a library inherently requires an 'exercise of judgment in selecting the material' in the library, so 'forum analysis and heightened judicial scrutiny are incompatible' with the role of a public library. Id. at 205. Libraries do not exist primarily to encourage diverse views of private speakers or to 'provide a public forum for the authors of books.' Id. at 206. Instead, libraries collect books that the government deems to be of 'requisite and appropriate quality.'” Id.
The Left is going bonkers and screeching about "free speech" and "First Amendment Rights" and so on. I know that "And Tango Makes Three" was a particular favorite of MSU Professor Elizabeth Dudash-Buskirk. I can't access her Facebook page to see how she is reacting, however, because I was censored off Facebook. But I imagine she is quite upset that her book is not enjoying required accessibility in Escambia County, FL schools.
Let me tell you, though, the defendants in these cases go through hell because of these lawsuits. I want to thank one in particular--Vicki Baggett. A longtime teacher in Escambia County, Vicki has withstood the kind of lawfare and defamation that makes most people shrink from taking a stand. I applaud her. Bravo, Vicki and may God richly bless you. Here she is in a recent interview:
Why? "Your account, or activity on it, doesn't follow our Community Standards on cybersecurity."
I must be a Russian bot.
"Our technology." Uh huh. And Christians are the ones called Nazi fascists.
In order to appeal the "technology" decision, I have to provide email, phone, selfie (and whatever info I need to provide after that). I decline. I did nothing wrong.
But, it is satisfying to know that whichever minions complained, whoever made the decision and presented the reason given, all recognize they LOST the narrative. They had to stop me from commenting on a Springfield Daily Citizen FB post about the Library Board of Trustees because I wouldn't give up arguing for the protection of children and parental rights.
They want you to give up.
Never give up.
They had to resort to that of which they accuse conservatives. Not one book has been censored or banned from the Christian County Library. They don't even have the satisfaction of pointing to that in order to justify censoring the free speech of others.
In fact, communications professor Elizabeth Dudash-Buskirk (who I was engaging when I was so rudely interrupted by the suspension) should complain that a fellow citizen was censored! Indeed, she should be my biggest supporter since she has argued so vociferously that censorship is evil. And all the others on the FB thread who argued so eloquently for smut in the children's section of the library, they should rush to my defense too, right?
And this just came to me in an email. It's laughable. I had no idea there was any advertising on my account.
"Inauthentic behavior." LOL. "Or violations of our Advertising policies affecting business assets." That sound like the SDC was not happy with the way the thread was going. LOL.
UPDATE: BTW, as far as I can tell, ALL of my comments have been filtered out. Now that is some Grade A censorship.
Ultimately, the acceptance of the core precepts of transgenderism by the West will he seen, not as a pinnacle of progressivism (as its adherents believe) but as the clearest indicator that these Governments and societies had failed.
This might be the most disturbing paper I have ever read, perhaps even edging out a recent paper about "Queering Babies" that explicitly sexualized infants. These people are sick.
In another tweet on the same subject, Wright said, "The central theme of the paper is "pleasure." This aligns with trends in international sex education policy, particularly the International Planned Parenthood Federation's Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) program, which explicitly shifted away from sex education centered around reproduction and toward what it calls 'sexual expression, sexual fulfillment, and pleasure.' Pleasure is one of seven core elements of CSE. Its Youth Policy, applying to 'all young people irrespective of their age,' [bolded] declares a 'right to pleasure' and 'the right of all young people to enjoy sex and express their sexuality in the way that they choose.'"
And, for all those who were at the Christian County Library Board Meeting last night, and might not have a full picture of what the American Library Association is promoting for children in their "Library Bill of Rights" (LBOR):
"Access to Library Resources and Services for Minors: Library
policies and procedures that effectively deny minors equal and
equitable access to all library resources available to other users
violate the Library Bill of Rights. The American Library
Association opposes all attempts to restrict access to library services,
materials, and facilities based on the age of library users.[Bolded] Amended
2025" (Interpretations of the Library Bill of Rights)
And further:
"All people, of all ages, should have equal and equitable access to
all library resources and services. The American Library Association
(ALA) opposes any efforts to restrict access based on age. Policies and
procedures that prevent minors1 from accessing the same resources and services as adults violate the ALA’s Library Bill of Rights.[Bolded] Libraries
and their governing bodies should not use age as a reason to avoid
potential objections. Not acquiring materials because minors might
access them reduces the credibility of the library and limits access for
everyone.
Article V of the Library Bill of Rights states, “A person’s
right to use a library should not be denied or abridged because of
origin, age, [Bolded] background, or views.” The right to use a library means
that people should have free access to all services, materials, and
facilities and unrestricted use of everything the library offers. Any
restriction based solely on the following criteria violates Article V:
age;
apparent maturity;
educational level;
literacy skills; or
legal status.
Further violations of Article V include setting limits on:
how old someone must be to get a library card;
demonstrated skills or abilities required to get a library card (like signing their name);
requiring parental/guardian permission to get a card for anyone old
enough to be in the library without parental/guardian supervision;
how many or what kinds of items minors can check out compared to adults, or;
creating trial periods for library use based on age.
Can you see how children are being made into objects of mere sex and pleasure? This goes against everything that is good and decent. It is designed to dehumanize and demoralize your children. And there were retired teachers, a therapist, and a university professor who opposed the vote last night to remove reference to the ALA's LBOR from the policy handbook. There are HUNDREDS of age-inappropriate and sexually explicit books in our libraries--all shelved in the children's and teens' sections. It isn't just a about a book with two male penguins who raise an egg. It is so much bigger and darker. The opposition seeks to hide the truth.
Please support the efforts of the community to make libraries safe for children. One thing you can do right now, is to send the new executive director an email in support of the Library's direction to make that happen: wblydenburgh@christiancountylibrary.org. The support from the community has been unfailing, and is much appreciated. More than anything, your prayers are needed and gratefully received.
It is regrettable that our society has become so confused as to think that providing children with sexually explicit books is somehow virtuously upholding free speech.
The Christian County Library will hold its monthly board meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at the Nixa branch. The formal removal of the American Library Association's presence in the policy handbook will be voted on tonight. Agenda HERE. The ALA is a subversive private organization that has great sway over many public and private libraries. Thankfully, more and more librarians are waking up to the insidious indoctrination it seeks to impose on our children and our culture.
Charlie Kirk
wasn’t killed because he spoke. He was killed because young people
listened.⁰Now his death is being weaponized. Beware the psy-ops—whether
in schools or churches—that seek to impose beliefs instead of proposing
truth in love. Parents, guard your kids.
A year or more ago I spoke with Dr. Craig Carson, the assistant superintendent of learning in the Ozark School District. It was after a board meeting and I was discussing with him the possible abolishment of the Department of Education and what that might mean for federal funding in the local schools.
He said it wouldn't matter at all because federal dollars would continue to flow from other federal government agencies.
As Alice Linahan says in her article on Substack, "Even if the U.S. Department of Education were abolished, it would not matter. Funding now flows through multiple federal agencies--Health and Human Services (HHS), the Department of Labor, and the Department of Defense, as authorized under WIOA. The system is locked in place through what is now known as the P-20W pipeline--Preschool through Workforce."
Linahan details the "script that comes straight out of military psychological operations: isolate people, inflame their emotions, dehumanize the 'other side,' and then justify violence (U.S. Army Field Manual 3-05.301, Psychological Operations Process)" that has infected our schools, including here in Christian County.
Further, "Here is what I want every parent and citizen to understand. That same psyop-playbook is being run on America's children every single day in their classrooms. What is happening in our politics is shocking. What is happening to a captive audience of children in our schools is even more chilling."
I urge readers to read all of Linahan's article HERE. Everything she details, EVERYTHING, is happening in our local schools. Whether or not staff and school boards are aligned with the ideology behind this monstrous situation, they are trapped within the framework--the system--that shoves this stuff down students' throats.
Ask yourselves: If all these programs and systems were so good and helpful, why are student mental-health crises on the rise? Why are student scores drastically falling? Who lies to parents and shows them one thing while another thing is happening? Who is benefiting from this system?
Fight back against the indoctrination of the government school systems. Right now, you can order for free. Thank you Turning Point Education. Link HERE. Just add each curriculum course to your cart, making sure to add the discount code EDUCATION at checkout. A $275 value.
Sept. 14, 2025 vigil for Charlie Kirk in Ozark on the square
By Gretchen Garrity
I knew her demons would drive Professor Elizabeth Dudash-Buskirk to
another rant. Once you see the pattern…
She numbers her points, which I follow below. Her Facebook
post HERE. Do read it before going on, as I select certain quotes to note for
the sake of brevity.
1) Elizabeth said,
“Please stop talking about 'us' and 'we' being 'brothers and
sisters in Christ' to mourn a man who used a platform to engage
divisive language for the purpose of gaining
attention/money/followers…” She makes it clear that her Christ
is not the Christ of the Bible. It is another Jesus. Woke Jesus. Do
not be fooled: “For there shall arise false Christs…” (Matt.
24:24).
2) Elizabeth says,
“Please stop trying to have things all ways, all the time, all at
once. Either Kirk was a political figure and we SHOULD NOT hold
memorial services on public school property, or he was not a
political figure and memorial services do not need to be public.”
Here she is squirming angrily over the fact that there have been
vigils and memorials for a public figure on public property. She
cannot abide that our public spaces are being used to honor a public
figure...publicly. I wonder if she would have moaned about the
public vigils for Martin Luther King Jr on public property,
including the US Capitol. Imagine what she thinks about all the
public memorial sites for him. Honestly.
3) She says,
“Please do not tell me I am not patriotic because I do not think a
flag should be flown at half mast for a non-political figure that
never served our country in any way, shape, or form.” Here she
attempts to diminish the impact that Charlie Kirk had on our
citizenry. His patriotism and love for America, and his tireless
work to impact young people to engage in the political process is
another thing her Marxist ideological framework cannot abide. Tough.
He did serve his country and his country is grateful. One can serve
one’s country in a myriad of ways, and thousands of people from
artists and writers to soldiers and politicians have been honored by
our nation.
4) Elizabeth says,
“Please stop telling me that academics are all about spreading
their ideology. I wish I was.” The disingenuousness! The amount of
Leftist institutional capture of our schools (from K through to
university) is legion. It has been documented extensively. Elizabeth
is lying to you. That is what Communists do. Communism is Satan’s
religion, and Satan is a liar. The professor’s false piety is just
silly. Way too late to fool us again.
5) Elizabeth
writes, “Stop asking me to have empathy or sympathy for Charlie
Kirk. I refuse to have EMPATHY because HE told me that empathy is a
‘made-up, new-age term that does a lot of damage.’” Elizabeth
takes something Charlie Kirk said about empathy and twists it. Here
is the context: .
Again, she is lying in order to justify her disordered hatred
against Charlie Kirk. As a Catholic, Elizabeth should know what a
disordered passion entails.
6) Elizabeth next
states, “I refuse to sit back and allow people to just continue to
run over our freedoms.” She does not enumerate any freedoms that
have been run over, but that is beside the point. The point is to
state the assertion, and you, dear reader, are to assume it is true
because the professor/expert told you it was true.
7) Here she says,
“If you want to have vigils for whoever you want, you go right
ahead, but stop saying they are for one individual and then when
people ask why there weren’t vigils for the children, the victims
of violence, the immigrants, the poor, the marginalized, respond
“it’s for everyone.” NO. IT. ISN’T.” First, I don’t know
who is having these conversations with her. I hope she reads this
and points us to them. Elizabeth again attempts to suggest that
every time there is a victim of violence, there should be a vigil
for them, or something like that. With crime stats as they are,
there would be vigils ongoing every day.
Perhaps we should
build a chapel where we could light candles and pray for victims. Oh
wait, that’s the local Catholic Church of which Elizabeth
professes to be a member. No, what bothers her so much is the
unprecedented outpouring of grief and love that Charlie Kirk’s
death has brought forth. It galls her. Her words drip with it like
vinegar on a sponge.
8) Getting down to brass tacks here. Elizabeth is a champion of civil
civic discourse, but not Charlie? She writes, “I 100% believe in
and support a civil civic discourse. Charlie Kirk DID NOT.” She
“proves” this by again lying about his words on empathy. You
have the video, watch it for yourself. She lies yet again. She
accuses Charlie of not having goodwill. The arrogance! There are
hundreds of videos of Charlie speaking with diverse people in a
clear and calm manner—with goodwill. Elizabeth’s problem, like
all communists, is that Charlie used logic and reasoning to defeat
her ideology. Therefore, the only thing left for Leftists like her
is to attack him personally and misrepresent him to her audience.
And lastly, she
challenges readers, “Come at me, if you will, but do it
understanding that this is my stage, my soapbox, I can delete
comments, I can ignore, I can respond, I can direct the spotlight, I
can engage in discourse, I get to control the narrative. See how
that works?” Honestly, is she trying to say that her Facebook
platform was in the same vein as Charlie’s public debates on
college campuses?
He let anyone come
up and speak and challenge him. He didn’t censor them as she is
threatening to do. Professor Dudash-Buskirk, the champion of free
speech, the maven of all things democratic and civic-minded
threatening to delete, ignore, direct and control the narrative? God
forbid!
Perhaps she should
begin having campus chats and allowing anyone to come up to her and
challenge her on politics. She’s a professor. She has the cozy
platform at MSU. Go for it!
Folks, this is the
moral state of the Left. Charlie ate your lunch and you will never
forgive him for it. What is most needed for those who are under the
thrall of the religion of Satan (aka Communism), is to repent. When
convenient Elizabeth falls back on her Catholic bonafides. Her
political ideals, no matter how she likes to coat them with
“empathy” and “democracy” and “freedom” and “civil
civic discourse,” are simply evil.
They debase
humanity, they call for not freedom but political and economic
slavery. Not moral freedom but licentiousness. They set white
against black, male against female, Muslim against Christian. Her
ideas carve us up into groups without a unifying understanding of
humanity and nationhood.
Her political
ideology would take from both rich and poor, and concentrate wealth
and power among an oligarchy of soulless demons, who care nothing
for human rights. In short, Elizabeth is a vanity-ridden
intellectual who has for too long gone unchallenged. There are many
like her. It’s time to respond to them with clarity and truth.
They’ve lost the
battle of ideas. Their ideology was and is defeated through debate
and dialog and civic discourse on college campuses and over dinner
tables. And Elizabeth knows it. And so she lies about Charlie in
order to assuage her fractured conscience and comfort herself that
she is doing the right thing by stomping on the Man.
Well, the devil
stomped on the wrong man. There is power in the blood of Jesus, and
when evildoers spill the blood of one of His champions, you unleash
a power you will never recover from. The best thing you can do is
repent and come over to His side. Otherwise you will eventually end
up wailing and gnashing your teeth with no peace and no hope in the
world.
Charlie Kirk’s final blow was to force the woke demons and the transgender cult to reveal to the entire world just how utterly evil they are. They can’t put that mask back on now. The “empathy and love” scam is finished. pic.twitter.com/IpBZM8RdS7
Here’s a congressional staffer who secures medals for veterans and their families reposting the message that @charliekirk11 was “a casualty of the violence he incited” and calling him a “nazi”. pic.twitter.com/RgUSecGDto
